Color Scheming V2!
With the new version out you can plainly see that you have a very new template to work with, but all the same I have already run into some of you who lack in the ability to know what 'readable text' really means.
In this light I feel that I must post an update to my color scheme blog. Due to recent events we have had a slight change in template oversight, and the update now has a much different view. We've got to find colors that work so well with eachother that they're undeniably perfect.
============================================================
Before we begin, we have a few things that our totally real and not just written in friend would like to ask.
Billy : Gee Vincent, I'd love to make a colorful blog but all I can see are 7 rows of color! I know there's more than that! What happened?
Right you are Billy, good eye. Certen colors are not properly pronounced on the color scale. Certen 'inbetween' colors are not properly pronounced on the color scale. Things like brown, pink, lime, lavender and other favorites are left up to the user to really define. However, just because they don't have thier own line doesn't mean they aren't there!
Here is a list of how to tweak the scales to your favor!
-= Orange =-
Brown can be found on the 6th-9th brackets of the orange scale, starting from the left.
Peach can be found on the 6th-9th brackets of the orange scale, starting from the right.
-= Yellow =-
Olive can be found on the 9th and 10th brackets of the yellow scale, starting from the left.
Lemon can be found on the 8th-11th brackets of the yellow scale, starting from the right.
-= Red =-
Blood can be found on the 6th and 7th bracket of the red scale, starting from the left.
Pink can be found on the 8th-10th bracket of the red scale, starting from the right.
Strawberry can be found on the 12th-14th bracket of the red scale, starting from the right.
-= Purple =-
Lavender can be found on the 7th-11th bracket of the purple scale, starting from the right.
-= Green =-
Lime can be found on the 6th-11th bracket of the green scale, starting from the right.
Using this small list as an example, I promise you that you can find your favorite color if you try hard enough. If you have any personal requests of the color, send me a message and I'll do my best to find it on the brackets and direct you accordingly.

Billy : Vincent, why do we need templates? Don't all colors work well with eachother?
Ohh Billy, you silly clownshoe, of course they do! However, certen shades of all colors do not work well together. Light colors on light colors are difficult to read, and the same goes for dark colors on dark colors. An even mixture of light and dark is needed to contrast and make the text readable.
Here's an example :
This text is hard to read.
This text is much easier to read.
See what a difference that makes? Same colors, different shades. The yellow contrasts alot better when the green is darker, making the yellow stand out and becoming readable.
The normal rule is that if you cannot read the text at an easy pace standing an arms reach away from the computer screen, then it needs to be changed. Also if squinting, eye adjustment or higlighting is involved in your reading agenda, the text colors need to be changed.

Billy : What is a good template to follow to make blog schemes?
I'm glad you asked, Billy! Finally we can get to the good stuff!
Billy : Wait, uh.. Vince? What is a template?
... *sigh*
Billy, a template is like an outline that you can use repeatedly in different situations. All you do is fill in the blanks, and it becomes your own creation!
Before we get to the templates we must first pronounce what it is that we'll be coloring.
Boarder - This is the color of all boarders for for the website. However, be warned! This color will also be used for internet links! Keep this in mind when choosing the color, as you want it to contrast well to your font.
Background - This is the color of the table backgrounds.
Font - This is the main color of the fonts around your blog.
Highlight - This is the color for the main background of your blog behind all the tables.
=========================================================
Billy : Uh, Vince? What's a table?
Good question, Billy. A table is a HTTP code label used to note the use of boarders. Basicly the stuff inside the boarders that you color with your Boarder Color is inside that table!
=========================================================
Now, to the templates. There are two normal templates used for Blogs 4 Me Blogs. A light template and a dark template. They are as follows.
Light Template
Boarder - Dark
Background - Light
Font - Dark
Highlight - Light
and
Dark Template
Boarder - Light
Background - Dark
Font - Light
Highlight - Dark
These are very simple templates, and are very easy on the eyes. Whenever I say 'Light' I mean 'Light shade of color' , and same with 'Dark' in meaning 'Dark shade of color'
In example, take my color scheme.
Boarder - Light Orange
Background - Dark Red
Font - White
Highlight - Dark Blue
Each color contrasts well, and shows gives attention off where needed.
Now is where you come in. Help fill this blog post with color schemes! I've sat here for far too long to make a real effort, so now it's your turn! Submit your color schemes and help Blogs 4 Me into color filled freedom that doesn't hurt the brain!
