Outside of the Box but still within Normality

Change of plans, I can't finish the debates. The third topic was going to be on religon but the sad thing is that I can't make anything make ends meet dispite the research and fence terms I try to create. There's no way to do it without offending too many people to count, and I don't want to do that. Instead, I've got another thing on my mind.

The train of thought of a singluar man decides where his place is in life. Society places a person within a certen thought because of the way this person thinks, speaks, and acts. This is what we consider to be a normal way of filtering out who exactially is to succeed, and who exactially we can figure out who is going to fail.

But what exactially is normality? What exactially, in todays culture, are people supposed to believe? Everywhere around us we have the subliminal mind games telling us what is good and what is evil, what is right and what is wrong. Some people, dispite the million and one efforts of society, will still turn out to be exactially the way they want to be. These people are the ones that this article is dedicated to.

Many people have said that my posts have made them "Think outside the box". But what exactially does this mean? The term itself means to think outside the ordinary, or outside of Normality. To think "Outside the Box" you must first be able to comprehend what the box truely is.

However, which normality are we talking about? The normality of a person, or the normality of society? These are, at the same time existing and yet hardly ever the same. Like a parallel universe that is it's polar opposite in color and movement, but the same in shape and size.

One mistake people tend to make is that there is no such thing as Normality itself. Being normal is only a state of mind, and a social thought. You can do what is thought of as normal, but if it's uncomfortable to you then it isn't normal at all.

A person knocks on a door 5 times, as opposed to any other number, considers it normal to do so. There might be someone out there who believes that 5 is an excess amount of times to knock, and think that it's abnormal, and that a number greater or less is what would be considered normal. Each of these people don't live outside the "Box of Normality" - They live within thier own normality, and yet are not "normal" at all.

There is, in fact, no Normality in existance. With so many different trains of thought, it's suprising that the few people that get away from the main assembly line of society end up having the normality that they do. Mind you that the normality they exist in may not be the best thing, nor may you approve of it, but it's a normality that decided to seperate away from the metaphorical "box" of society's normality and create one of thier own.

These people, no matter how uniquely cool or horrible they may be, are shunned for not doing what Society tells them to. The world would gasp if you went into an interview with Wal-Mart with tight black pants and fishnet shirts on, but what if that was considered normal to this person?

What's wrong with someone who knows that if they wear tin-foil on thier head it makes them think better? May not work for you, but it obviously has a positive outcome for them. This person would consider it normal, even if you didn't.

Why should they change thier own vision of normality for the rest of the world? Why isn't they congratulated for the fact that they, themselves, live a life free of society's train of thought and happy anyway that they wish to be?

Here's to all those who wish to be different. Do what you have to, live how you want to. Anyone who said you aren't normal, just tell them that neither are they and just move on.

How's that for "Outside the Box" ?
