Well I've got an interview with Radioshack tommarow. God I wish I could get something more than a retail job. I've got intermediate knowladge with computers and programming, as well as graphical design. I've got competent knowladge in just about anything, and a quick will to learn and a strong desire to proceede further in any job... but jeezus christ I can't get anywhere.
Still, I try. I'm pushing myself to keep going, because my family won't start if I don't put my foot out there to make that which I desire come true.
So wish me luck... I gotta waste a good 4-5 hours tommarow driving and sitting through intermissions/interviews to hope I get this minimum wage job... ugh.
Someone shoot me now. :O

good luck! i know how you feel, i'm having trouble finding a decent job too. a college degree doesnt mean anything nowadays. as long as you are out there trying, that's the best you can do. i hope you find something you like.
Hang in there man. It took me like 10 months to find a job after college. The job market is tough and competitive. It's all about when luck meets opportunity.
Well, today is the day. Let's hope that all my time isn't wasted. I remember making a very good impression on the manager while I was there, and she said she would talk to some people for me... I guess it pays to have someone on the inside but only time will tell if she really comes through for me.
Cross your fingers, I dive into the unknown.
If you have any interest in a trade I would recommend doing that. Every one is going into computers and no one is learning a trade, so the demand will soon be very high and there will be a surplus of technical people who will be looking for a job. Watch the money will be with carpentry, plumbing, or electrical.
The suprising thing is that I do have an interest in THIS trade.(even if it is a retail job) I've been screwing with computers for so long that it's about 1/4th of my life.
I remember at 14-15 (round there) I built and programed the first computer that came into this house. A 1985 model IBM that worked on Win 3.1
Ugh, that was a peice of crap... only 1450 KB Hard Drive, Black and White Screen, Just enough memory to be able to run the basic programs... but I built and programmed it myself and it worked! I was so proud...
Well if that is what you like then that is fine, I didn't know if you were going to do that just because that is the big thing. If you like it then do your best at it and you will get somewhere with your skill.
As for Tech Support jobs, thats half of what a Radioshack job is, though it's not on the phone. As you well know, Radioshack is all about "You've got questions, we've got answers." and while I may not know as much as a district manager in my area, I'm sure I know more than any new sales associate.
My second interview is on Tuesday, so here's hoping. :)
